History

Inhabited for over 10,000 years and was once connected to Siberia via a landbridge. Centuries later sold by Russia to the United States for $7.2 million dollars, thought at the time to be a bad deal, Alaska turned out to be rich in natural resources.

Culture

Alaska has a mixture of English, Russian, Spanish and French place names that reflect the early exploration done in the area by European countries. It is also a mixture of 11 native culture groups and 20 indigenous languages.

Attractions

Being in the northernmost part of the Continental America, Alaska is famous for its arctic and sub-arctic wildlife such as the Black, Brown and Polar Bears, Caribou, Moose, Orcas, Blue and Humpback Whales and the most famous Bald Eagle. Consisting mainly of untouched wilderness, It’s home to magnificent mountains, glaciers, and fjords .
