Vietnam is one of the gems of East Asia, highly developed with abundant lush greenery. Filled with beautiful cities, green nature and some of the oldest networks of caves in the world.
History
Vietnamese history has always witnessed interactions with other dominant civilization - adapt their ideas, institutions and technology to empower Vietnamese purposes. This was evident historically with China and more recently rejecting the west and becoming communist to combat colonialism.
Culture
Vietnam is a fusion of Chinese influence and western influences. Traditionally Vietnamese culture was heavily influenced by China’s expansion in the 3rd century. Western influence grow in the 20th century with french colonization. More recently in the 1980s, the Vietnamese communist party has been opened up the the broader world.
Attractions
Beautiful European-like cities with Asian architectural influence, the infamous Halong Bay, forests, jungles and an unbelievable network of caves.
